Together for sustainable food – from farm to fork

Eurial Ingredients & Nutrition is a division of Eurial, the dairy branch of the Agrial cooperative. It is dedicated to the production and commercialization of specialized ingredients and solutions for the food and nutrition industries.
Eurial is proudly based on a cooperative model that extends all the way from the farm to the table. It is democratic, supportive and, above all, sustainable.

A commitment to connecting farmers to consumers :

  • 81% of Agrial employees work in rural areas, which reinforces our local roots
  • 80% of our raw materials come from local producers within 200 km of our production sites, ensuring a reduced carbon footprint
  • 30% of the profits generated by our cooperative returned to our farmer-members, supporting their development and work towards sustainability

As a cooperative, Agrial’s governance model is based on the principle of “one person, one vote.” Every member has a say in decisions affecting our shared future.

Our core values

  • Solidarity
  • Proximity
  • Sustainability
  • Boldness

These principles guide all our actions and strategic choices.

Thanks to our multi-specialist cooperative structure, we are able to act as trusted partners to our customers. We are with them at every step on their journeys towards sustainable food practices.
We help them reduce environmental impacts through several initiatives :

  • Environmentally friendly processing
  • Transport methods with a minimal carbon footprint
  • Local agricultural production that incorporates mixed farming and livestock practices and promotes low-impact agro-ecological and agronomic methods
  • Our range of healthy and high-quality dairy products, designed to provide a balanced nutritional profile accessible to everyone.

What is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)?

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is a company’s voluntary commitment to consider the environmental, social, economic and ethical issues arising from its activities and relationships.
The European Commission emphasizes the importance of “voluntary integration of social and environmental concerns” by companies, which is essential for sustainable development.

Eurial’s commitment to contribute to carbon neutrality

To reduce our environmental impact, Eurial has made a series of concrete commitments.
We will:

  • Reduce the impact of packaging by promoting recyclable materials and minimizing waste
  • Reduce the impact of transportation by optimizing our supply chains and prioritizing short circuits
  • Cut water consumption in our dairies and cheese factories by 35% by adopting more efficient technologies
  • Reduce waste by implementing recycling and recovery systems
  • Optimize energy use in our industrial sites by integrating renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency.

Supporting our dairy farmers in their transition to agroecology

Our multi-specialist cooperative is committed to supporting dairy farmers in their transition to more sustainable practices. We know that each farm faces its own specific challenges. That’s why our 300 field advisors visit farmers daily to listen to their needs and offer tailored solutions.
Drawing on our scientific and technical expertise, we offer a range of specially developed services and training programs to support our members on their journeys towards agro-ecological approaches. The areas they cover include crop production, soil life, animal nutrition, seeds and crops, building use and energy. Every single element is taken into account to ensure a smooth and effective transition to sustainable practices.

To implement these projects and measure their impacts, we have created a network of pilot farms called “Full Scale.” This allows us to test and evaluate a wide range of agro-ecological practices under real conditions.

We have also developed an advanced tool to directly measure greenhouse gas emissions on farms. It allows us not only to quantify the progress being made but also to adjust our strategies to maximize their effectiveness.

Our sustainable development approach

By committing to sustainable development and biodiversity, Agrial is contributing to efforts to keep the global temperature rise below 2°C, in line with the Paris Agreement. We firmly believe that every action counts and that our collective commitment can help make a significant difference.

By 2035, we are committed to halving our direct greenhouse gas emissions by rethinking our agricultural and industrial practices. We are also aiming for a 35% reduction in our overall carbon footprint by working hand-in-hand with our customers and other partners.

Eurial’s commitment to sustainable development

Our sustainable development approach aims to find concrete solutions to social and environmental challenges. It is built on three fundamental pillars:

pilier-1

Pillar 1: Preserving the earth and living things

  • Contribute collectively to carbon neutrality by adopting sustainable practices
  • Reduce pollutant discharges
  • Fight against any waste of food or raw material
  • Preserve water resources
  • Market eco-friendly packaging to reduce our ecological impact
  • Continue our transition towards agro-ecology by integrating environmentally friendly methods.

Pillar 2: Providing safe and healthy food for all

  • Move towards simpler recipes made with natural ingredients, to maintain the high quality of our products
  • Preserve the nutritional qualities of products from agro-ecology while ensuring they are accessible to all
  • Develop food solidarity by establishing strong partnerships and encouraging donations to support local initiatives and strengthen local roots.

Pillar 3: Contributing to life within the company and our territories

  • Guarantee all our employees a meaningful, supportive environment that promotes their personal and professional development
  • Actively contribute to the development of our territories and the vitality of local life by supporting projects that benefit the community
  • Continue the development of ambitious cooperative and participatory governance, encouraging everyone to get involved and make their voice heard.

These three pillars reflect our deep commitment to a sustainable future, combining environmental respect, product quality and social responsibility.
Through these actions, we are actively contributing to a greener, more supportive and more equitable world for future generations.
